Fear Free Visits
Norwood Animal clinic strives to offer fear free visits. We have free calming bandanas available at our front desk, along with calming blankets for the cats. Each room is stocked with treats and peanut butter. We never want an animal to be afraid of seeing us. We diffuse essential oils in the kennels to help keep our hospitalized kids stay calm and comfortable. Each cage gets lavender on a cotton ball to make sure they are relaxed.
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. We also offer several products to keep your pet's mouth pearly white after the cleaning.
Immunization and Wellness Care
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. Preventative care has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccinations; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages. We understand that each pet has different needs and we would never offer you something your pet would not benefit from.
Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain; less bleeding and less swelling. The laser seals the nerve endings resulting in less post-operative discomfort.
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. All microchips include life time registration.
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. We offer a variety of prescription foods which are available in house and our on-line store.
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We have a variety of medications to help control you pet's pain and discomfort. We also offer laser therapy to help with pain and swelling of joints and wounds. This non-medicine approach and been proven to be very beneficial to our patients.

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. When possible we will always carry the generic version so we can pass the savings to our clients.
Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. Our digital x-ray machine creates clear, fast pictures to aid the doctor in their diagnoses
