Dr. Dionne Harrell

Dr. Dionne Harrell is a Milwaukee native, and a 1998 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Harrell was an associate veterinarian at Norwood from 1998-2005, working side by side with Dr. Grebe and Dr. Bach in the early years of her career. She left Norwood in 2005 to start a solo house call practice. We are happy to have Dr. Harrell back at Norwood… it’s like “being home” she stated.

Dr. Harrell has a strong interest in client education, feline medicine and wants to pursue education into acupuncture and spinal manipulations for canines and feline.

In her free time Dr. Harrell loves to do various outdoor activities: biking, hiking, running, dancing and time in the gym. Dr. Harrell has a true love for music and attends as many concerts throughout the year as possible. She shares her life with her daughter, her 6-year-old cat “Ace” of Spades and her Chihuahua grand dog, 1 year old Nala.

Dr. Trina Steffen

Dr. Steffen is a 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and a Milwaukee-area native. After graduation she completed advanced training with an internship at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwolk, CT. During her internship she discovered a love for emergency medicine. She pursued this passion working for a specialty/emergency center in Chicago, IL and after returning to the Milwaukee area. While emergency medicine is still a strong interest for her, the ability to establish long-term relationships with clients and follow her patients from puppy/kittenhood all the way through to their senior years drew her away to general practice. She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and has a strong interest in pain management.

Dr. Steffen spends most of her time away from Norwood working for an even more demanding boss (her new son), though she does get some time to relax and explore the city with her fiancé. A self-proclaimed “cat lady”, she currently resides with 3 spoiled felines, Lilly, Bruce and Clark and a very naughty English Bulldog Bucky.

Dr. Benjamin Blandin

Dr. Blandin was born and grew up in Greendale, WI graduating from Greendale High School. He’s home grown. He attended New Mexico State University for his Bachelor’s in Animal Science with a Minor in Biochemistry. He started volunteering as a veterinary assistant during his undergrad years. He attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine located on a small island in the Caribbean called St. Kitts. He graduated in 2011.

I always knew once I graduated that I wanted to come back to my “homeland” and become a general practitioner. I would love to meet any of your four-legged family members and give them the best care possible.

In his personal time Dr. Blandin LOVES the Packers and Badgers and is an avid movie goer. He can also be found on a golf course any chance he gets.

Ella was born in Milwaukee and grew up in West Bend. She graduated from the Madison Area Technical College and received her Veterinary Technician Certification in 1996. She joined Norwood’s family shortly after graduation. She enjoys educating on how to keep their pets happy and healthy with preventative care.

In her free time Ella enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family as well as her 3 felines, Zim, Wolfie and Zeke.

Becky has been a CVT for almost 10 years and spent her entire career at Norwood Animal Clinic. She loves educating clients on new pets in the household and watching puppies and kittens mature from young to their senior years. Most of her time is spent assisting the veterinarians with surgery and dental procedures.

Becky has two dogs at home, Latte and Penny and spends her free time with them, her husband and step-daughter.

Laura has worked as a certified veterinary technician since 2003. Through hard work and perseverance, she worked her way up from the kennel help position to CVT. She enjoys meeting new additions to families. She has a soft spot for Tortishell cats, Wolfhounds, Rats and Rescue animals.

When not in the clinic she enjoys the outdoors, traveling, gardening, reading, flea markets, baking and spending time with family and friends. She and her boyfriend “share” their home with two cats but she’s pretty sure they’ve got us trained to all their needs.

Jen is a veterinary technician with 18 years’ experience in general practice and emergency critical care. She has a particular interest in laboratory diagnostic procedures, emergency critical care, anesthesia and analgesia.

She is a native of West Allis and lives there with her husband of 19 years, their 4 teenagers, 3 cats and 2 crazy dachshunds. She loves VW Bugs, Star Wars and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Rachel has always had a love and passion for animals since she was a child. She has been a part of the Norwood family since 2014 and has previous animal care experience working with camels and small ponies at a small private zoo.

She enjoys spending time with her cats and hedgehog, along with reading, crafting and traveling to new places. She is also an avid Harry Potter fan.

Lisa has been in the animal care industry for 10 years. She has done pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, doggy daycare and has volunteered at the humane society as a dog walker, office assistant and surgery prep assistant. At Norwood, Lisa pulls dual duties as a receptionist and technician and kennel help, helping out where ever it is needed.

She lives in the area with her husband Jeff and two German Shepherds, Ellie Mae & Mochi.

Lindsey has been working and volunteering with animals for over 7 years. She hopes to one day become a Certified Veterinary Technician and work with Primates.

She has one fluffy black cat named Bagheera, who is a diva but is Lindsey’s best friend.

Rachel T
Practice Manager

Rachel has been in and out of the veterinary profession for almost 20 years. She started out as part-time office help at her first clinic and has moved up to Practice Manager, doing all the jobs in between. She was a part of the Norwood family previously from 2000-2006 when she left to follow her second job interest, accounting, after receiving her Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting. She came back home to Norwood in 2017.

While being the manager means her day is full of administrative duties she loves to get into the mix of things and her favorite job is doing appointments to meet clients and their pets. Client education is one her passions.

Rachel and her husband spend their time working on the endless list of home projects and hanging out with their Persian, Diablo and German Shepherd, Sebastian.
